Dear Ian: I "run" the domain for our website music-loudness.com and have
the host on my server. That's not a problem. The last time our site died
because I was not maintaining the Joomla site, and boom, the hackers and
the spammers crashed us. So I created a simple html one page site.
But I don't have time to maintain a wordpress site for the MLA.
Wordpress has to be very hands on and you have to have all your security
constantly updated or you'll be attacked.
If you want to make a wordpress site for the MLA you're welcome to do
so. Let me know and I'll give you the keys to the back end!
digido.com is now wordpress. It looks great and I'm very happy with our
new site. But it requires a lot of hands-on to keep all the plugins
updated and wordfence security and so on. I have a developer doing most
of the upkeep for a yearly fee and he earns his keep.
Bob
P.S. With Spotify, glad you've been interviewed! Please make it a carrot
and a stick.
Please stress that -14 LUFS is a start but it's just a start, because
-14 LUFS is too high for music unless:
a) it's for the loudest track in an album and they're doing album
normalization
b) limiting has to be removed (not sure if spotify has done that or not)
c) no upward normalization if it would cause clipping

I could potentially reach out to my audience and see if someone can rebuild the old site but running on Wordpress for us, if we still have access to hosting and the domain - Bob, would that work ?
