Bob, I’d love to hear more about your experience with this. I’ve done some very limited testing with MQA and was generally pleased with what I’ve heard, but since the idea is that we master “through” the MQA process, of course the MQA version will sound best to us ! I’m also concerned about the idea of a closed, proprietary format meaning that the very best results are only available to people who invest in the branded hardware.
So, I’m left wondering whether to sign the NDA and spend valuable time testing the software, or not !
Do you feel MQA "de-blurring" gives a result that can’t be achieved in any other way ? In the cases where you didn’t like the effect it has, have you found a common thread ?
