Hi Eelco,
Apologies, I seem to have misplaced your email with the test.
Can you kindly re-send that and I’ll see if I can do it.
All my best,
Bob L.
PS. I hope that Tidal will change BUT have the option to re-set it to NO Loudness Normalization. I use Tidal a lot to compare other people’s mastering of a band I’m working on and it would be a drag to not know what level they used!
BTW, Tidal streams ALL of those horrendous Deutsche Gramophon, Philips and all the Universal Music Group titles with their Watermarking. They have worse flutter than any analog! For me THAT is the #1 sin they need to correct.
Also, in the past week I have discovered two titles that are, believe it or not, copies of vinyl disk playback of the mono disk! Even worse, they played it in stereo so the program is the mono disk and the nosies are all in stereo! Shameful!!! How can they charge people for that?
Best again,
Bob L

My contact at Tidal has just been promoted to head of R&D and he wrote to me they are very willing to adopt my proposal. I only need to finish the subject test now. Last year Thomas introduced me to a friend of his at Tidal and I met him in Munich. He informed me that Tidal has good connections with Deezer and SoundCloud, and that at a higher management level there are contacts with Spotify etc.
