Dear Ian:

I can put a blank wordpress install on the site at any time you
wish in a "develop.music-loudness.com" subdomain and give anyone
who wishes to volunteer development the keys. Do you really have
someone in mind who would like to help us?

Also, there are some commercial programs (wordfence I believe is
commercial) that absolutely have to be bought in order to maintain
security. And the developer has to really know his/her way around
.htaccess! It can't be a casual "hacker" if you get my drift. I
don't have the time nor all the expertise to ensure the .htaccess
file is good so it has to be someone trustworthy.

I'd be willing to split the costs of any commercial plugins if
you can assure us that the developer is interested in devoting the
development time and a little bit of, say, monthly maintenance.
You already know what can happen when you let wordpress sit
ungroomed for a while: hackers and spammers :-(.

Best wishes,

But I don't have time to maintain a wordpress

you have to have all your security constantly updated or
you'll be attacked.

If you want to make a wordpress site for the

All my sites run on Wordpress and I foolishly maintain them
myself, but I don’t have time to build a new one either :-/

But, there are lots of friendly Wordpress users out there
who might like to help - but I can understand you wouldn’t
want to give the keys to a random stranger. Having said that,
if your admin guy is prepared to put a blank Wordpress install
on the server for us (which should be free or VERY cheap) then
all we would need to do is give someone Editor access to the
Wordpress interface, which would be much more secure. Let me
know what you think ?

As far as the newspaper interview went there was no room
for details like actual loudness levels, types of
normalisation or implementation, this was really nuts &
bolts stuff for a mainstream audience. But hopefully if he
quotes me accurately it will be more mainstream recognition of
the importance of the issue.

Cheers,
