<html><head><meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html charset=utf-8"></head><body style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space;" class="">Thank you!<div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Both this and last years Best Engineered-non classical win (The Alabama Shakes and Beck) were masters the mix engineers pre-crushed, and both of those albums ended up being some of the loudest albums I did for the <u class="">year</u>! </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Both times I was shocked that the Grammy Craft Committee thought those albums were worthy of nomination (let alone the shock that they won!). </div><div class="">It makes me want to give up the loudness fight when the accolades from our own engineering community are championing these loud mixes!</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Admittedly both albums seem to “live” in that crush in a musical way.
