Hi Ian,

My friend and mix/mastering engineer Wessel Oltheten likes to send in these tracks:

He nominates these tracks because these styles were usually much more compressed. Since a few years all his masters are already -14-ish, his (Indy) customers stopped asking for louder once they noticed that it didn't work on Spotify… At the moment loudness is no issue anymore according to him (last year he mixed and mastered 862 tracks…).
