Hi Kevin,

I don’t know what the artist thought, but I was just speaking with the A&R person and after he gave me a lot of instructions I told him “I was just listening to the reference of (title) and it was one of the loudest mixes I’ve ever heard, do you want it that loud?” and his response was “oh, I hadn’t noticed.”
I didn’t know what to say to him without responding to him in disgust so I politely ended the call.

I just checked, that mixer has won over 12 Grammy Awards.
