I wonder if the proliferation of these things is because the public is 
becoming deaf and it's an increasingly noisy world?  Or just that DSP is 
so cheap that people are looking for applications of it to make a buck:

To me, another compressor claiming to be a "universal solution".... to 
make things sound better, many of which sounded fine before they got 
hold of it.  As if you can make your food taste better by putting a 
tablespoon of salt and pepper on everything --- before tasting it!

demos of already-mastered material with their "after" process turned up 
for unfair comparison. Is everyone crazy over there? Play back the 
"after" version louder, won't you?

Paul Wolff told me they spent more than a year on this algorithm...   
what the F?  He wants to sell me his process for use in "lower class" 
mastering where the client can't afford my personal service. That would 
be so wrong in so many ways... would not sell my service at all, only 
undersell my service.

These kind of things do not belong as a permanent "solution" in the 
normal end chain of the listener. I can see a place for the Bongiovi 
approach only in a noise-sensing environment such as a car with a 
microphone to sense the noise---- but without noise sensing, this is 
just marketing b.s. from my point of view.
